Buy local. Buy fresh.
I want to eat locally produced food, but I don't know where to start!  First, check to
see what your grocery store offers. If you don't know where an item comes from, ask.
Secondly, think beyond the grocery store; you'll be amazed at the bounty of our Mid-
Atlantic foodshed. Local food isn't limited to summer produce, either. Frederick
County's landscape and soil is best for grazing animals for meat and dairy, which are
available most of the year. What about beverages? There are many vineyards
nearby as well as micro-brews in the area. You can find cut flowers, honey, baked
goods, artisnal cheeses, and much, much more right here!
