Before I created the large sculptures of the Virgin Annunciate and St. Joseph placed in the sanctuary at Our Lady of Mercy, I sculpted a one-third scale model of each piece. They stand approximately two feet high; and vary slightly from the final pieces because they do not reflect some of the changes made. I have decided to issue a limited edition bronze series of these models. Each sculpture will be signed and numbered, one through fifty. They cost $5,500.oo each, or $10,500.oo for the pair. Depending on the schedule at the bronze foundry, the casting process can take as little as two months, or up to six! Shipping and handling is additional.
Plaster sculptures are also available with a faux bronze or white patina. Because of the recent rise in the cost of bronze as a raw material, this drastically reduces the price. Plaster is durable and easily repairable, but cannot be left outdoors. It should not be overlooked, though; a plaster sculpture can be very beautiful! The cost is $2,750.oo each or $5,300.oo for the pair. There is also less turn around time than bronze.
Marble copies can be carved upon request. Prices will be determined at the time of order, depending on the exchange rate for the euro, marble and shipping costs, etc.
I am offering a special price for members of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Parish, where the final sculptures are placed. Please take 10% off the price listed here, or contact the parish secretary. In order to produce a cast, I need a one-third deposit. If you are interested, please contact me at (240) 379-7134; or place an order by using the form below.
All sculptures are guaranteed. If you do not like the piece after three months, return it for a refund of the purchase price. If you purchase a plaster cast, but would like a bronze later on, return the cast and the price will be credited toward the bronze.
Peace and Blessings, Sarah
